Donor Testimonies
Susan Cagley Professor of History and Education Memorial
"We largely believed that in giving to BBC we were giving to the future. My father loved being a Christian school
administrator and loved the Christian school movement. The idea of training the next generation was his passion. We felt
that gifts to BBC were both contributing to the excellence of Christian education and passing the torch. It's an
eternal investment."
Anonymous Trustor Beneficiary Designation
"We give to BBC because it exists to train young people to spread the Gospel. We want to put our money towards
the Lord's work so we thought BBC would be a good place to do that. It was easy to list BBC as a beneficiary on
our retirement fund."
Ray Salzman Charitable Remainder Unitrust
"One of my daughters attended BBC. I have seen [her] use her training from BBC in various ways to serve the Lord
in her local church and to train her kids. I was working with an advisory group on my estate planning. They researched
and recommended three ministries that could help me, but they felt BBC Foundation was the best choice. I agreed! With
a Charitable Remainder Unitrust, they were able to help me sell the investment properties, avoid paying capital gains
tax, and I received an income tax deduction. My money in the Charitable Remainder Unitrust is invested and managed by
good, solid professional investment managers. It was very helpful on my tax return, and BBC will receive a gift.
I feel good knowing my money will go to such a worthy cause as Baptist Bible College & Seminary."
Anonymous Trustor Deferred Gift Annuity
"We like having the flexibility of being able to put our money in a DGA. It is re-investing interest and in 10
years we can draw on it. We don't need the money right now, but you never know when you might need it. This way
we know our money is going towards the Lord's work, and we can use the interest if we need to in a few years."

"I give to BBC&S because of a new, innovative Seminary program that allows international students
to complete their Doctor of Ministry degrees in modular courses requiring their presence in the United States for only
a few months of the year. The director of this program strongly believes, as do I, that nationals should not be out
of their own cultures for extended periods of time while receiving advanced biblical training. I am convinced that this
program is worthy of my consistent and generous financial support and am confident that God is pleased with and will be
glorified by my giving to this 'mission'."
Scott Hartley
Revocable Charitable Trust
"I chose to set up a Revocable Charitable Trust with BBC because it's flexible with a competitive interest rate.
It's money that I don't need right now, but if something were to happen to me it would benefit a good cause. The RCT offers
better interest rates than a CD and doesn't have the early withdrawal penalties. This additional flexibility makes an
RCT a desirable instrument over a CD or money market."
Doug and Karen Helmer
"We are excited about what BBC is doing in its various
ministries with students and where things are moving for
the future under President Jeffery's leadership. We appreciated
the assistance that the BBC Foundation provided us upon the
sale of our business ownership. My wife and I needed a place
to put the money that we wanted to direct to ministry, even
though we were not certain where and when to do that at the
time. The establishment of a Donor Advised Fund was the perfect
mechanism for us in providing a tax deduction, while giving
us the time, freedom, and flexibility to give where and when
we wanted."
Robert Allen, BBC&S Trustee
Student Endowments
"I became involved with BBC&S because of an interest
in training people for Christian ministry after seeing the
need many churches and schools have. My wife and I decided
to establish an Endowment in memory of my mother-in-law who
was always interested in missions. We wanted to perpetuate
the thought of encouraging students in missions work, and a
missions Endowment was a fitting remembrance that will last
until the Lord comes. If you believe in an institution and
their mission to train ministry leaders and missionaries, an
Endowment is a long-lasting legacy."
Mark Robbins, BBC&S Administrator
Wills and Beneficiary Designation
"When I was a teenager and new Christian, my grandparents
passed away. They left their house to the church they had attended
for decades, and their gift made quite an impression on me.
My grandparents left a Christian legacy through their estate
planning, and I have never forgotten that spiritual lesson."

Charitable Gift Annuities
"Since our family is dedicated to higher Christian
education, it just seemed natural to form a Charitable Gift
Annuity through BBC Foundation. We were able to increase
our income and also create a financial gift that will help
students train for Christian ministry. What could be more
exciting than to have a part in the education of future Christian
leaders."
